Philippines Volunteer Trip 2014

At the end of last year, the Philippines were struck by Typhoon Haiyan. I have always wanted to help out following disasters and I have never had any idea as to how to go about becoming involved. Recently, I met a girl who just spend 10 weeks volunteering her time and energy to help the Philippine people recover. Once I heard her story, I realized that this was something that I wanted to do and that I would have time this upcoming summer to donate myself to help. I will be working with International Disasters Volunteers (IDV) for close to 5 weeks to try and rebuild what was destroyed. Thanks to my student loans, I can't exactly afford this trip on my own and so I would really appreciate any donations.
