Philippine Experiences

Tourism is one of the Industry that is greatly affected by the Covid 19 Pandemic. As a freelance tour guide, greatly reliant on tourist arrivals, we struggle with finding sources of funds in this trying times. Currently we are still on a quarantine period and theres no telling when travel would resume its normalcy.

In spite of this, were hopeful that tourism in the country will bounce back stronger once the quarantine is lifted.

We're aware that, International travel will take time to pick up and what we need to focus more is on strengthening domestic tourism. The future of travel nowadays goes beyond sight seeing and is now more focused on experiential activities. With this in mind, I would like to help local communities become experience hosts. Armed with my training certificate from the Department of Tourism, and my 2 years experience with the Airbnb platform, My goal is too seek out unique activities on all of the 81 provinces of the Philippines including the National Capital Region.

My goal is to give tourists a more meaningful connection to a destination beyond sight seeing. For the locals to practise hospitality by taking in people to help them with their livelihood, day to day activities and immerse in their culture.

I plan to do this by going on a road trip around the country to a journey I call, The Philippine Experience Caravan.

An example would be Bulacan wherein the Chicharon (Pork Crackling) Makers can conduct demonstrations and tasting.
