Becoming a doctor in the field of psychology is my mission. Through various years of education and clinical experience, I see a tremendous need for exploration into parent-child relationships. Not only is there need for study of these relationships, but a need for research in the effects of the lack of relationship between parent and child.  Clinical work has been done in areas regarding in school-interventions to exterminate problem behaviors as soon as possible, but there is a lack of research in areas exploring the core issue of problematic behaviors and how to cope appropriately with core familial issues. My research will investigate attachment theory, behavior analysis in children, and create appropriate and thorough interventions to assist parents(caregivers) and children mend broken relationships. Research will also provide insight to possible educational opportunities to present to parents or families in need. Prevention curriculums will be developed to cater to not only parents, but teachers, and medical professionals. Interventions will include play therapy techniques, a safe way to relate to and communicate with children as well as explore their world. Thank you for reading. Many blessings. Eva Oberlender
