Campaign Story
The Eldon Skate Park is getting a facelift!
The Eldon City Council approved the replacement of 2 ramps & repositioning of 3 rails. There will be 2 small ramps installed next to the concrete ramp/stairs in the middle of the park and rails will be added to the top/back of the ramps.
We know a lot of you knew Schaffer Chapman in the skating community over the years and from the local area. We were all saddened by his passing this last year, but you might not have known he was instrumental in the installation of the original skate park.
He and several of his friends went door to door collecting donations & made the first-ever skate park in Eldon, MO happen in 2004.
After almost 20 years the current state of the park is in need of renovations and additions.
WE HOPE THAT THE COMMUNITY CAN TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT THAT CONNECTS PEOPLE WITH THE COMMUNITY AND FACILITATE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IN HONOR OF THE LIFE THAT SCHAFFER CHAPMAN LIVED AND LED.
Any donation no matter the size would be greatly appreciated, come back here for updates and more info about phases 2 and 3 of this project.
