Short Film – Penny For Your Thoughts?

Hello there! We are a group of film students from Teesside University, Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) currently producing a film titled Penny For Your Thoughts?. Our aim is to bring raise awareness of sexual assault cases, no matter what the perpetrator’s social status. It is important for everyone to stand up against sexual assault and let those answerable be punished for their heinous crimes.

Synopsis: Malika Kapoor, the host of the gameshow Penny For Your Thoughts?, is living the ultimate celebrity life. When she finds out that her assailant, the millionaire philanthropist Michael Lim, is invited to participate on the show, she finds out she is not the only victim of sexual assault on her gameshow set. Malika is now faced with the arduous task of getting Michael to admit to his heinous crimes, live on television.

We would need a week of shooting and are looking to raise a total of $6000. This will go towards equipment rental for the whole week, feeding the cast and crew, and securing locations.

Rough breakdown of the budget:

Location Rental: S$3100

Equipment Rental: S$1110

Food: S$500 (5 cast, 10 crew, extras)

Wardrobe and Dressing: S$250

Set Building and Art Direction: S$600

Platform Fees: S$500

We are looking to distribute the film through Viddsee and other streaming partners once production is done, or perhaps even take this project further.
