Hello!

My name is Graham and I am in the process of starting a non-profit association called PAWS (Pets and Wildlife Society) based in Helsingborg, Sweden.

PAWS will raise money for cat shelters in the Helsingborg area who help homeless and in other ways distressed cats who have been abandoned or abused.

I operate primarily in the north-west area of Skåne in Sweden and for 2020 I will be helping Djurhemmet Tassebo who are in the northern suburb of Helsingborg.

The Main Event...

The main focus of my fundraising will be a charity walk I will do on Saturday 27th September when I will walk from Malmö to Helsingborg.

The final route has yet to be decided but if I take the shortest walking route it will be 62 km and should take 12 hours. My preferred route would take in more of Skåneleden and end up being 68 km, which will add an extra 80 minutes to the estimated time.

I plan to 'broadcast' my walk via live tracking on the Map My Walk website and check in on Facebook at each town I pass through along the way.

I plan to start the walk at 08.00 and arrive in Helsingborg at the latest 21.00. It will be a long day as I will have to set off from home at 06.30 to get to Malmö on time but charity events should be easy. Should they? :-)

What is the purpose of this fundraising campaign?

The largest expense an animal shelter has is veterinary care of homeless cats and kittens they take in. They are unable to obtain insurance which means that the cost of veterinary care and treatment is significantly higher than it is for the normal cat owner.

When a cat shelter takes in a homeless cat, they vaccinate, neuter, earmark and deworm them (in the case of kittens, they are vaccinated, dewormed and earmarked, the cost of castration lies on the new owner).

Occasionally, complications and medical emergencies arise and costs rise substantially. They therefore need continuous funding to help more needy cats recover so they can find a forever home to receive the love and affection they deserve.

All contributions however large or small are welcome! No contribution is too small! All contributions make a difference!

I give you my personal guarantee that 100% of all money I receive from Go Get Funding will be given to Djurhemmet Tassebo. I will not take any money whatsoever in expenses, payment or anything else. Money spent during this campaign for travel, equipment or materials will be paid for out of my own pocket.

The money will go to help our furry friends who give us unconditional love and affection.
