Good day!

I'm Gingerlin Mangulabnan, 24 years old, from City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines.

(I will try not to make this description too dramatic and too emotional. Haha)

First, I want to share you the life my mother and I have lived from what I can remember.

I am an only child and my father left us since I was born. He was just too afraid of being a father and the responsibilities along with it. My mother, Lilia Mangulabnan, was then forced to sell her possessions just to provide my needs as a baby, sometimes, would just ask for a can of milk in exchange.

When funds were no longer enough to sustain my needs, she was forced to work overseas. I grew up with my grandmother and aunt. My mother would send money for my tuition fees for my daily expenses, etc. I was able to study in private schools during High School and College.

The life, for 24 years, that she has given me is more than what I deserved.

Oh, just to add, she's not just a loving mother but a good friend too to everyone. She would help anyone as long as she can and she was never selfish and closefisted in terms of money.

I remember one of the life lessons she taught me; Tumulong ka hanggang kaya mo. Para kapag ikaw nangailangan ng tulong, tutulungan ka rin nila. Pero kung sakaling hindi, and Diyos ang sasalo sa'yo.

I was in 2nd year High School the last time she came home for a vacation and from that year, 2010, she's no longer came home until December, last year, 2019. Yes, we haven't seen each other for almost 10 years, straight! (because I was in college that time and needed money and she needed to transfer from country to country to find a high paying job.)

She came home, finally.

But only to find out that she has a stage 4 Cancer that has been already metastasized (still under observation if it started in her ovary or omentum.) That... that news crushed my whole world.

We've been waiting for this time of our lives; to finally be together, to finally live our lives together, to finally pay back and give her the life she deserves.

The doctor has given her approximately 6 months to live. That triggers my worry. I’ve lost my focus. Every time she’s in pain, my heart’s skipping beats and I would just cry and pray afterwards. If only I could transfer half of my life span to her, I would. If only I can get all the pain she’s feeling, I would.

I’ve never prayed so hard like this before. I’m keeping the faith and I know that God’s with us and He’s listening.

At first, we didn’t want to undergo chemotherapy, but I am now just too desperate to do all the possible things to do just to save her. Fortunately, I have my Auntie Cel and Kuya Allen to help me in taking care of my mother and I have my Auntie Ed to help me financially. However, still, chemotherapy and the medications and the expenses that come with it are not easy to finance all by ourselves.

I am knocking to your hearts to, first, include my mother in your prayers, and to ask for financial help. Please help my mom and I to live together a little longer. Help me get a chance to payback to her.

Last Tuesday, she was, again, confined and underwent CTscan and other tests. To make the long story short, it was confirmed that it all started in her ovary. Now, since her cancer already metastasised, it already complicates her liver, lungs, etc.Her oncologist scheduled her for her first chemo on the 4th
