Mexico Mission Trip

To our famiy and friends,

Hey everybody! We hope and pray that you are all doing well! We wanted to take just a couple minutes of your time and share with you an exciting opportunity coming up for Katie and I to impact the lives of others, and to ask you to consider how you might be able to partner with us.

As many of you already know, for the past few years Katie and I have been actively involved in ministry at Ni River Community Church. We have been blessed to be a part of the incredible ways the Lord is using this church that we have grown to call our home to love and care for our community. Whether it is through our weekly ministry with the youth, or through other outreach activities, Katie and I have been caused to stretch and grow in countless ways, and have been amazed and blessed, time and time again.

Recently, Katie and I had the opportunity to travel to Pachacutec, Lima, Peru to partner with a church ministering to an area of extreme poverty. While in Peru we were able to help provide finances for medical care, minister to a great number of children, and support for this church in their efforts to reach their community.

In October, we will be with a ministry called "Eli House Mission" in San Luis de Colorado, Mexico. Our church has helped to support this ministry for children from impoverished families that partners with the parents to feed and educate the children while also giving them a firm Biblical foundation. Our church has the opportunity to return this year and continue the partnership we have been developing with Eli House Mission. We will be holding a Vacation Bible School for the local children, helping with long-needed construction work, and laying the foundation for a future ministry in the area. There are a couple of ways you can be involved and support us.

First of all, you can commit to pray for us. We are in need of prayers for safety as we travel internationally to a part of the world that is struggling. You can also pray that God would provide everything we need to make this trip possible, as well as allowing us the opportunity to share Christ while we are there.

We also need financial support. Katie and I need to raise a total of $2200 dollars to fund our part in these ministries, and as I'm sure you know, that is no small amount for a young, newly-married couple. Luke 8:16 says "No one, after lighting a lamp, covers it with a basket or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see it's light." This is why we spend countless hours volunteering our time, efforts, and resources to the ministry efforts we are involved in; because we have been given the gift of salvation through Christ, and that is a gift we can't help but share. Any support in this effort through prayer and finances are greatly appreciated.
