Persevere is a new and upcoming charity that aims to help fund cancer research and to help fight childhood diseases. I have fought for my life for close to four years because of cancer. I have been healthy for sixteen years and now it's time to do something. I ask that you read my story and donate if you would like to. I personally now how tough it is to battle a horrible disease and not knowing if you are going to live or not. Please join me in the battle against childhood cancer. Together we can bring the fight back to cancer.

For every $10 donated we will place a ticket in the raffle for a $30 Walmart gift card. Drawing will happen on the 3rd of every month.

Here is my personal story:

My family and me used to live in Des Moines, Iowa. I was about six at the time when one day I fell in the shower. I had no side effects or signs of me having cancer. We went to the hospital to make sure nothing was wrong and they said it was a hematoma and it will go away in about a year to a year and a half. Unfortuntely it didn't go away, my stomach kept getting bigger and one day I noticed that when I used the restroom the there shouldn't be blood. I told my parents and we went to the emergency room. They ran some test on me but they really wasn't sure what it could be. I was sent to St. Louis children's hospital where they ran more tests on me. The tests came back positive for Wilms Tumor. My kidney grew to the size of a cantaloupe and I was immediately booked into a hospital room and rushed to surgery in just a few hours. My right kidney was taken out and I was given a chest tube. I was still seven years old at the time this all happened. Well I went through all the treatments for about a year and a half. Then came the time for my big checkup just to make sure that my cancer didn't move. As my test results came back we where hoping and praying that it would be clear but unfortunately it came back positive. It had moved up to my left lung. I was booked for surgery where they went in on my left side and scraped off the cancer cells. I had to go through the same treatments all over again. I was almost nine years old at the time I was diagnosed the second time. Then we had the test again and it came back negative. I was finally clear and healthy. But as time went on and my body was healing I had some side effects from the trauma I suffered.
