Periwinkle challenge

Camp Periwinkle has earned the reputation of being the “Camp of All Camps!” among campers and counselors. Camp Periwinkle is a week-long summer camp filled with joy for children with cancer and blood disorders and their siblings from Texas Children’s Cancer Center. The goal of Camp Periwinkle is to provide a safe, emotionally healing and fantastic adventure that gives every camper the opportunity to grow in independence and self esteem and leave Camp Periwinkle a stronger survivor. Activities include swimming, horseback riding, archery, arts & crafts, exploring nature, campfires, ropes course, biking, wheel chair basketball, volleyball, baseball, dances and much more. Additional special programming includes the opening day carnival; cooking with world class chefs from Houston and Austin area restaurants; Glamour Shots; Spa Day and Olympics Day. One of the most popular activities at Camp Periwinkle is the night challenges where cabins work together to conquer a challenge. Each year we rent an inflatable that goes with our theme as a prop for this challenge.
