Please help Peque's lens luxation surgery This past week has been so stressful. Peque is my chihuahua that was born 2-28-08 I have had her since she was 10 wks old. i love her so much and she has been my best friend since before I had my children. Peque has been to the vet 3 times and so stressful with the same tests being repeated. Blood work, eye stain test and eye pressure tests. One vet misdiagnosed her with glaucoma in both eyes and suggested bith eyes be removed. Estimated cost being too much for us to afford. I could not see myself doing this to my Peque. We got a second opinion at Banfield and they said no glaucoma but she does have one lens that is luxated and other eye lens is getting loose. They referred us to the opthomalogists. Finally specialist confirmed no glaucoma and lens is loose. Needs surgery as soon as possibly since lebs is going to be kept stable with eye drops for about 4 weeks. He told us that we can removed the lens from the bad eye and that later the other lens would end up getting loose. Our concern is the left eye that swelled up last week and became cloudy and painful for her. The estimate for the surgery was outrages and we cannot afford it. I could not believe the estimate was more than removing her eyes. Please help us in donating to help Peque get her surgery soon. She is part of our family and breaks my heart that she is going through so much and only 5. Thank you any help is greatly appreciated. I will be posting more information as soon as I can update this.
