People to People European Heritage Trip

My name is Landon Gallegos and I am a freshman at Clear Creek High School in League City.  I have been selected as an Ambassador for the People to People 2015 Summer European Heritage trip.  This will be my first trip outside of Texas so this will be a chance to see and experience a lot of things I have only read about or seen on TV.  It will be educational, but I also get a chance to give back to the community through service projects both before and during the trip.  This is a great opportunity but I will need some help to get there.       The Trip The trip takes place over 21 days and includes travel through 7 countries.  In England, not only will I see some of the traditional sites, but I will spend part of the day with a member of Parliament to get a behind the scenes look of English government.  In Belgium, I will visit two World War I memorials as well as learn how Belgium waffles are made.  In the Netherlands, I will visit Amsterdam and learn about the Holocaust and visit the home where Anne Frank once hid.  In Germany, I will not only stay in a castle, but I will get a chance to stay with a German family to learn about their culture and daily life.  In Austria, I will hike along the Swiss Alps and even zip line in over a lake!!  In Switzerland, I get to be part of a scavenger hunt to learn about the city of Zurich.  In addition to all these great opportunities I get to travel to France.  France is the country that had me first interested in travel.  I'm learning French now and look forward to using it on my trip.  I have also been trying to learn about French cuisine, and am trying to learn how to cook.  In France, I will get a chance to visit the Louvre and Versailles.   I also get to learn more about World War II from an actual survivor. Support A trip like this is really costly.  The overall trip is over $7000.  I am trying to help raise money for just a portion of the trip.  All donations will go toward the cost of the trip.  I greatly appreciate any help you can lend so that I can take part in this great opportunity.
