Penny’s Eye Removal

We received an urgent phone call from one of our local shelter directors that animal control had just picked up a 4 pound chihuahua with her eye bulging out of her head and badly infected. She needed immediate medical care (that the poor and underfunded shelter could not afford) OR they needed to euthanize her so she didn't suffer. Of course we said, "We'll take her. Just get her to the vet!".

Her eye removal and medications for the infection are $500. This was a completely unexpected expense, but necessary in order to save her life.
