As part of service to humanity for the glory of God, ongoing efforts to improve access to health care and family planning services in rural areas, Pearl Family Clinic will be subsidizing the start-up of operations of a new primary health care clinic. The facility will be managed by Dr. Joseph Wanyoike Kimani. Pearl Family Clinic will provide accessible knowledge and birth control services and will offer general primary and preventive health care for all ages. The clinic will utilize trained staff members, new equipment, sound medical training, a referral system to nearby hospital facilities in order to maximize the care for each patient. Pearl Family Clinic Project will provide free birth control services, free knowledge dissemination to the community on birth control and provide the love of God through spiritual ministry in Christ. Pearl Family Clinic will work beyond the walls of the clinic to provide health and hope to Kenya’s communities.

God expects us to make wise decisions according to what he has given us, and not presume upon him providing from out of the blue. Reasonable financial considerations during planning are a relevant factor in in our mission to glorify Him: "If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever"

(1 Timothy 5:8)

Context

Vast number of families and individuals in Kenya of reproductive age lack the information and services they need to be able to choose when and whether they have children. On the other hand, a large number of newborn babies end up being abandoned in the streets and others end up to be labelled as vulnerable children and lack enough support from their parents because of poverty. A big number of women are also forced by circumstances to undergo unsafe and illegal abortions.

At a wider level, whole communities can suffer, as large numbers of women are unable to engage in their local economies, while looking after their ever-growing families. This is a critical, global issue – one which is growing and will affect all of us. As demographics change, with lower infant mortality rates, population growth and the largest generation of young people in history now becoming sexually active, the need for serious attention on birth control and education to both men and women of reproductive age is overwhelming. And the need to take strong action to address the situation becomes ever more urgent.

The concept of Pearl Family Clinic is that with provision of knowledge and access to a wide range of birth control methods, individuals, families and communities will be able to take responsibility of taking care of their own children because proper planning was done before the conception time. This will reduce the number of abortions, unintended pregnancies, abandoned babies and vulnerable children. Pearl Family Clinic envisage that most of the women and men who will benefit from our birth control program may consider Pearl Family Clinic as their primary health care facility. This will create a large pool of clients, especially women of reproductive age. This will create a self sustainable project that will utilize revenue collected from general health care services to maintain the free family planning program.

90% of funds generated from Pearl Family clinic as profits will be dedicated to free delivery of family planning education and services.

Objective: The main objective of Pearl Family Clinic is to provide holistic primary health care at subsidised costs and free family planning services and education.

Mission: To glorify God through promotion of family planning by providing birth control knowledge and access to family planning services as well as the overall health and well-being of the local population by providing accessible, high-quality medical care for people of all ages.
