Summary

We are raising funds for women, children and pets victims of domestic and social violence. The project focuses on providing a safe haven for them as well as economic independence. We hope to raise awareness with this campaign, plus resources for this sans frontières project.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE is a pattern of coercive behaviour characterized by the domination and control of one person over another, through physical, verbal, psychological, emotional, sexual and/or economic abuse.

SOCIAL ABUSE is the behaviour that aims to cut someone off from family, friends, or the community. It can also involve a person or people trying to damage his/her relationships with others. People who are socially abusive (e.g. bullies) may also attempt to make him/her look bad or ruin his/her reputation. Social abuse can include things done at home, in public, over the phone, on the internet and social media.

SOCIETAL APATHY is the desensitization of humane consciousness and non-involvement where societal action is required. Being apathetic (indifferent) to the suffering of those around you is a kind of social apathy. This unresponsive stuporous attitude allows violence and damage to continue and get worse.

With your donation, we’ll be able to build temporary or permanent homes for victims of domestic and social violence. We aim to help women who have difficulties to leave their unsafe homes and help them move forward. Many deterrents and hazards could be removed by offering them safe and tranquil lodging, a peaceful place suitable for children and even for pets. Your donation will help women and children suffering from violence receive professional help, overcome hindrances and succeed in becoming good social contributors.
