My husband and I both went to college because we had dreams of pursuing different jobs and supporting our future family. My husband wanted to be a chiropractor. He loved the idea of helping others with his hands. I, on the other hand, wanted to be a teacher. I loved seeing the light bulb turn on when a child finally understands something after a long cognitive struggle. We both met our goals; I became a teacher and my husband became a chiropractor. Since that time, we have expand our family by 2: a 3 year old son and a 9 month old daughter. We both believed that it was important for our children to not be put in daycare. I decided that I would quit my teaching job so that I could care for our own children. My husband's job is very slow going. He started his own practice and had to start from scratch with 0 patients. Growing your own business from nothing takes a VERY long time. He only gets paid when insurance companies decide to pay him and only how much they decide to pay. We have been able to pay our bills...well mostly. We occassionally cannot pay off our credit cards bills that are full of groceries and other neccessities, but mostly we can't make payments on our student loans. We have been able to put some on forbearance but that allowed time is up very soon. I don't know how we will be able to pay student loan bills well over $1000 a month along with the mortage, grocery bills, etc. Anything that you would be willing to contribute will be greatly appreciated! I don't want my children to worry about where their next meal will come from or if they will be kicked out of their home. Thank you so much!
