Hi everyone. Never done anything like this but heck thought I'd give it a go. Basically I am looking to raise some funds for my brothers guitar fund. He plays & is very good & I love the music he plays (mainly rock n roll - Stones, Faces Black Crowes type e.t.c)

Over the last 2 - 3 years our family (as many others) has been hit by a few problems. Our mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer & spent pretty much a year in hospital for treatment. She was released but something went wrong & was back in hospital within a day. At the same time our 2 grandparents on our mum's side had issues. At 90+ my Grandad has spent the last 2 years in & out of many hospitals with bad legs, falls e.t.c. Both suffer from dementia which has gradually got worse. Obviously our mum has not been able to take care or spend time with them. It is a 2 hour drive to them as they moved to the coast many years ago. My brother decided to take time away from work & left his job to free up more time to take care of our grandparents. I have small chilldren & a family so he decided to do this. At present our mum is in remission, out of hospital & fingers crossed making a full recovery. Our grandad has deteriorated badly & is now in a care home while our grandma is left alone in their bungalow. She is been looked after & fortunately we have managed to get over every other day & also keep a working life. unbeknown to us my brother was forced to sell he treasured guitar (bought years ago by our grandparents) to raise funds himself so he could carry on looking after our grandparents until our mum was fit enough.. It was an Gibson ES-335 Memphis Rich Robinson Signature (means nothing to me but apparently only 500 were made). I am sure he would love it back which is why I am looking to raise funds from friends, family & any generous people. He sometimes takes his guitar to the care home to play for the people there.....although he does have to tell a white lie about why he doesn't bring the guitar he sold.

Anyway thanks for reading & all the best in life to all.
