Rescue Paulie the CAG from pet-shop

This female parrot is 2-2.5 years old, out of which minimum 1.5 years were spent caged in the petshop in Bucharest Romania- Animax Vulcan. She is not properly cared for, being in a poor condition. According to the petshop assistant Paulie is healthy but plucking because of the stress. They don't have enough time and resources to give her proper care and attention. She is eating only seeds and stays in a glass aviary with no toys to chew and few stimulation. Also, they don't have the possibility to get her out as she needs.

They ask 8000 RON for her (aprox. 1715 EUR/ 1992 USD).

This amount is very high for Romania, considering that you can buy a healthy hand-raised, DNA tested african grey with CITES from an authorized breeder with 650 EUR (3000 RON / 755 US dollars). The average salary in Romania is 2400 RON, so you can imagine why no one is able to take this beauty out from that horrible condition.

Animal rescue organizations here are overwhelmed of the big amount of animals that need foster and care and however they focus more on dogs and cats than birds.

Thus, I'm willing to take care of this CAG, but I can not do it without your support.

I can take it out in 1.5-2 months when I will be moving to a new apartment. One room will be specilly designated for this CAG that I wish to save. This way she will be able to stay out of the cage during the day when I'm at work. When I'm home I can let her free around the house.

I am researching about nutrition and care for African grey for more than 6 months and I'm activly watching posts about them in specific Facebook groups, as I was planning to buy a baby CAG from a breeder this summer. However, I'm willing to change this plan to help this beautiful African grey to have a better life.

I promise to create a Facebook group that will be used to update everyone interested, especially the people that donated about her evolution after I manage to purchase her. I will not leave any of you in the dark considering the fact that there is a large sum of money involved.
