Paul Watson has cancer, and it’s personal for me. You see…Paul Watson is my 45-year-old son.

In May of this year Paul was diagnosed with Mycosis Fribrochia Lymphoma Stage 4. This type of cancer characteristically affects the skin, causing different types of skin lesions. As it progresses, it begins to first attack the organs and can proceed to attack the rest of the body. For the past few months, Paul has been having issues with his kidneys, liver, and lungs.

And…if that weren’t enough…he now has a blood clot in his head.

This is not Paul’s first bout with cancer. He was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in September 2014 and again in May of 2017. Stage 2 both times. Each time he received chemotherapy and was in remission.

This time, Paul is experiencing what…for him…is a unique set of circumstances: (1) the health challenges of this new diagnosis AND (2) job termination.

The difficulty of getting back and forth to work prompted Paul to apply for short term disability.

It was DENIED!

Shortly thereafter Paul’s employment was terminated because he was missing too many days of work [while undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments]. Employment termination resulted in no income or medical coverage. Paul had been receiving Immunotherapy which he thinks was better for him. However, no medical coverage now means immunotherapy is “on hold.”

Despite Paul’s challenges, he stands strong in his faith in the Lord. It is humbling to ask for support of others. It is encouraging that Paul will yet stop and pray for/with others who need and ask for prayer. Paul is now asking not only for your prayers but also for financial support to help cover living expenses and medical needs. One of the scriptures that he references is Isaiah 12:2 “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense has become my salvation.”

With that said, we humbly now ask for your support; will you help us?

Every prayer and financial donation is truly appreciated, thank you for your support!
