Paul Mercy Home Looks after the unlucky men & women whom you often see wandering on the roads, lost in their own world, laughing and talking to themselves, with dirty long matted hair, half naked and skin & bones appearance. Giving them, a little care and love and one might get back to life from their doomed stage. Mental sickness is considered as a curse and disgrace in our Indian societies.

Many affluent and poor alike abandon their dear ones on the streets, railway and bus stations as they cannot face the stigma associated with mental ill health. They may be just barely surviving on trash, gutter water and whatever scraps of food are thrown at them by spectators. They are in a worse condition as for no one to look after them.

They are on the roads for weeks/months/years without food, clothing or shelter. No one may give them a glimpse and often no one cares whether they live or die.

Uncased and unattended, they live a life of fate in the filth and cesspit of the streets. We pick them up from the streets with the help of our team - tend their wounds; give them a shave, haircut and a good wash and dress them.

As a result of the care, love, medical care and counselling, many have been completely healed and restored to their families!
