Patrik’s Leukemia fight

Patrik is has been fighting CML (Chronic myelogenous leukemia) for over 3 years, lived through 3 bone marrow transplants and still the disease came back. During that time watched his mother die in his hands from a stroke because they did not have money to regularly buy the medications. All that because of an administration failure of the social system in Czech republic, because of which he received zero funding from the state social and health care for most of that time forcing him to borrow money from friends, institutions and throwing him in a horrendous debt spiral.

Twice day he has to walk 90 minutes to a hospital where he receives intensive chemo treatment, morning, and afternoon, there and back. He does not have money to buy a bus ticket. Food became a luxury, there are days where he goes on not have anything to eat himself, just so that he could feed some bare minimum to his cat and dog. For over a year he was living without an electricity, gas was disconnected long time ago. An executor is upon him, threatening to take his house away, yet the social system refuses to pay their accumulated debt from over 3 years as there is always some sort of an issue, some mistake made, somebody just not caring at all. To add to the irony, executor blocked all his accounts until his debt is paid, social services claim they cannot repay him until his accounts are unblocked by the executor. The question of how should a person cut from the righteous social and healthsystem support, a person on a chemotherapy twice a day, earn cash to repay the debt /debt, that grew horrendously by additional executor charges/ nobody wants to answer. Recently the executor made an agreement with the social security system, that future payments will be transfered directly to him to reduce the debt, something, that will take months and maybe more than a year to finish. And something, that will basically leave Patrik dependent on whatever others give him/loan him. But state and the executor don't care....

After all that, Patrik is losing hope, he is suffering from severe depression, his prognosis is not good, and the looming thread of loosing his home is making him contemplate the worse. Most of his friends turned their back on him, same goes for his family. In an desperate attempt I am starting this Fundraiser, hoping to gather at least some money for Patrik to help him fight this horrible battle. Every donation, doesnt matter how small, will help him out of his desperate situation.

Patrik bojuje již přes 3 roky s CML, chronickou myeloidní leukemii. Přežil již 3 transplantace kostní dřeně a přesto se nemoc vrátila. Krátce po třetí transplantaci mu zemřela matka, z neustále stresu a nedostatku peněz na léky proti vysokému tlaku zemřela na mrtvici. Zemřela mu v náruči. A to všechno proto, že sociálka České republiky selhala a přes 3 roky patrikovi takřka nic nevyplatila..vždy byla někde chyba, špatné číslo účtu, složenka se ztratila, posléze se už ani neobtěžovali s výmluvou, prostě chyba systému a počkejte si do příštího měsíce, třeba to klapne. Tato situace nutila patrika si půjčovat, kde je jen možné a upadl do šílené dluhové spirály.

Patrik musí 2x denně docházet z vesnice do města do nemocnice, aby se podrobil intenzivní chemoterapii, často musí pěšky, protože nemá peníze na autobus. Cesta pěšky trva asi 90 minut....tam, zpátky, tam, zpátky...skoro každý den. Z jídla se stal luxus, často musí volit jestli nakrmí sebe nebo svoji kočku a psa, volí vždy zvířata a tak jsou běžná období, kdy patrik i několik dní takřka nemá co úst. Skoro rok byl bez elektřiny, plyn je odpojen již několik let. Exekutor jde po něm, chce uhradit dluhy, hrozí, že Patrik příjde i o střechu nad hlavou, exekutor mu zablokoval účty dokud neuhradí dluhy. Ironii však je, že sociálka odmítá vyplatit dlužnou částku, protože to blokuje příkaz exekutora. Nedávno se sice exekutor dohodl se sociální správou, že budou posílat budoucí platby přímo jemu na umoření dluhu, ale dlužné peníze odblokovat odmítl. Proč? Netuším....takhle se to bude umořovat možná rok a patrik bude nadále odkázán na to, co mu kdo dá za almužnu. Ale to stát nezajímá a exekutora už vůbec ne....

Po tom všem je na tom Patrik špatně, propadl těžké depresi, ztratil naději, jeho zdravotní prognoza není dobrá a přemýšlí nad tím nejhorším... Většina přátel se od něj odvrátila, stejně tak jakékoliv zbytky rodinného příbuzenstva. Toto je poslední zoufalý pokus jak pro Patrika získat nějaké finance, jak mu pomoci zvítězit v jeho bitvě. Každý dar se cení, je jedno jak malý, každá koruna pomůže z jeho zoufalé situace....
