Pathways to Peace Project

Following the 2007/2008 Election in Kenya, violence reached an all-time high.  Over 1,600 people believed to have opposing political views were killed and over 650,000 people were displaced from their homes.  The violence also took place between tribes.

This violence doesn't define Kenya.  We believe that educating our youth can significantly lower the chances of such violence ever happening again.  Janam Peace Building Foundation started The Pathways to Peace Project and has partnered with Wildlife Clubs of Kenya to bring youth from different tribes, together, in a wilderness environment and allow them the opportunity to break the tribal barriers.

We educate high school age males and females because we believe that they are our future.  

On November 29th, we will launch the results of an external evaluation of The Pathways to Peace Project!  We will share the exciting results with government agencies, non-government agencies, supporters and friends.  From there, we hope to collaborate with these agencies and supporters to ensure the Project's continued success.  

Our goal is to raise $5,000 by the Launch Date of November 29, 2012!  Reaching this goal will be a great way to kick off next year's fundraising campaign.
