Paros FEP vet center: We need medical equipment!

We are an Animal Welfare Association "FEP" based on the Greek island of Paros (Cyclades) and we created a legal veterinary center to neuter strays for free.Our revenues from owned pets are reserved for the care of strays. But we need your help to complete the medical equipment.

We are deeply convinced that with your valuable help the stray animals in Paros will have a better luck in the future and we will stop finding abandoned puppies and kittens in garbage bins.Your donations would be much appreciated to achieve our goal.

ABOUT US and our GOAL

WHY?

-In Paros we keep finding abandoned puppies and kittens in garbage bins or farming fields. The most unwanted puppies are born from the chained dogs that guard the livestock.

-In Paros malnourished cats seek food near garbage bins or die from diseases, hit by cars or poisoning.
This isn't the cultural image that our island is trying to promote.

What is the only way to rid ourselves from this horrible images?
ONLY BY NEUTERING

Only systematic neutering can ensure that this uncontrollable breeding will stop and the number of strays will be reduced. On a small island like Paros we can reduce the uncontrolled births and stray animals.

The global animal welfare community recognizes neutering as the only humane and scientifically approved method of controlling stray population.

Systematic neutering is capable with minimum cost only through the establishment of a legal, small animal veterinary centre where volunteer veterinarians:
- Neuter stray dogs and cats for free
- Neuter owned pets belonging to financially challenged families

To complete the equipment we need to raise 8.000 euros.
