Paralysis Rehabilitation -Jenny’s Journey

Update posted by Niki Kish On Apr 20, 2017

THANK YOU, each and everyone one of you, for helping us to surpass our goal. Words cannot express our gratitude.

I wanted to share this message that my Mom sent to me via email yesterday…

Jenny finally met her lead surgeon, Dr. Chris Stein, for the first time yesterday since coming out of sedation. She ran into him at the fracture clinic in the main hospital. He was not told that she was coming in.

When he noticed Jenny moving her legs and feet in her wheelchair he spoke loudly...."what are you doing!?"
She said she thought she had done something wrong so she asked him "what do you mean?"

He said "down there" and pointed to her legs.

She showed him everything that she could now move. He promptly got on his phone and called a couple of his surgeon friends. He was so excited and told her she was one in a thousand!!!!!!

As everything is coming back he believes that there is a chance she may be able to walk again!!

This is no surprise to me as with God all things are possible I am amazed time and time again in the Power of Prayer I will continue to pray for complete recovery for Jenny. Blessings to Ruth and Niki and family as well The best is yet to come Love: Lynn

Jenny has now moved over to the rehab unit. We are all very excited as she has been really anxious to start her rehabilitation program. I found her in the gym today and snuck a couple of photos. She is working really hard right now to get her arm strength back as well as her hand dexterity. She is one determined girl!
Keep sending positive vibes her way :D

You've got this Jen!!

Jenny's friend Kat has read her all the wonderful words of love and support that you have left. Jenny has asked that we post this.

"My heart is warmed by all the beautiful messages of love & support. Even though I'm facing difficult times, these words are helping me to stay stong & keep fighting. You are all keeping the fire inside of me alive. I'm so happy we can bring forward the awareness of domestic abuse. There are simply no words to express my gratitude. By me you are loved!"
