Paradise in a cup!

Mahalo for checking out our project page! We have worked really hard to get to where we are now and hope to continue that same enthusiasm in our next venture of opening up our first Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies store! You're already thinking...."awesome, another coffee shop(insert sarcasm here)!" We hope to differentiate ourselves with a few tweaks of the typical coffee shop vibe and atmosphere.  What will make us different? Well for one, we serve Hawaiian coffee (from the islands of Kona, Maui, Kauai and Molokai) which is considered some of the best in the world.  We get our coffee from an awesome roaster in CO, Coda Coffee. They initiate best practice sharing and quality control and they invest in the farming communities they buy coffee from. An example of this came up last year when they held a fundraiser to raise money for an impoverished community in Brazil. Coda held this fundraiser to give back to the families within the community which will improve the quality of life for all, and in turn, lead to higher quality coffee production so the farmers can command a higher premium for their product.  Coda travels far and wide to deliver the best quality beans to us and to you!

Second, we have integrated our awesome fruit smoothies into our product line to appeal to a larger customer base.

All smoothies are made to order. The only sugar included is from the fruit itself and a bit of beet sugar.

Lastly, we hope to have a very unique, relaxing atmosphere with comfortable furniture, Hawaiian decor and aloha spirit that can be enjoyed by all.

Currently we are a mobile business that focuses on festivals, fairs and venues. This venture has been very rewarding and fun. We feel that we gained a great presence in our own community. It has been fantastic getting to know people and having a chat in the short time it takes to make a smoothie or serve a cup of coffee. With the weather here in CA the calendar is not short of sunny days and festivals are plenty. The feedback has been great. We have had many requests to participate in other events and have even had great opportunites to help other organizations with fundraising. Our initial theory was that it was better to go to the people rather than have the people come to us. Despite our efforts we feel we lack the larger presence that we had hoped to gain. The festivals and venues are not always local or in neighboring towns. So, we figured why not open a fixed location so that we can do both. We can share our love for our product locally through our store as well as with others through our mobile efforts. We also feel that we can help the community by creating a few jobs. The foundation for the business is solid and we have already experienced success but we need your help to grow so that we can share our product and experience with even more people.

What are we going to use the funds for?

The funds will be used mainly for the build out and equipment. We have chosen a great location but it is very old and needs a lot of updating. The funds will also cover city permits, architect, lease deposits, espresso machine, grinders, blenders, signage, decor and POS system.
