Papa Mulong’s Cancer Treatment

My father Romulo D. Vallejo (Mulong), 64 years old, was recently diagnosed with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Stage-IV with Pleural Effusion. The recent PET-CT scan has also showed that it has started to develop on his bones as well.

For the past few months, Papa had undergone some series of test and medications before the cancer cells has been identified.

Doctor has advised to have 6 cycles of chemotherapy which cost around Php 83,000 per session every 3 weeks. This is exclusive of other medications, medical procedures and doctor’s fees needed to get my father treated. We also have to prepare for the maintenance treatment after the 6 cycles which may cost around 180,000 per session until the disease progression.

Papa has been showing us his strength and positivity to fight his condition. The doctors and our whole family are also determined to fight this with him.
