Campaign Story
I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Bang to help out his family in this time of sorrow Below are his own words on the loss of his beloved wife and mother to his three young boys.
The beautiful face you saw when you dined at Appe 'Thai' restaurant, Pam passed away on Saturday morning (June27th) at home.
Pam had been fighting cancer since 2013. Although she fought strong and hard, her cancer was just too aggressive. So with heavy hearts, we lost one of the world’s purest and selfless souls.
Pam was an incredibly strong, kind, and loving wife, mother, and friends. Her number one greatest achievement and joy in life was raising our three boys (Ben, Matthew & Nick) and being the pillar of our family. Though cancer had caused her much pain physically and mentally, she always persevered and put on a smile everyday for our boys and me. She never complained of her discomfort or pain. For her...for our boys...and for myself, I will stay strong and live life to the fullest.
Pam lived a wonderful life filled with love from all that knew her. She wouldn’t want you to be sad for her, but to celebrate that she got a chance to know each and every one of you. In memory of Pam, we hope you enjoy some of her favorite photo of families, friends, and adventures.
A note to my wife: Pook, please know that you were the love of my life. You have taught us to be better people, to love, to be patient, and to forgive. The boys and I will be fine, for we have family and friends who will get us through. Rest In Peace. I love you and one day we will be together again.

My family are long time patrons of Appe Thai. We are saddened by Pam's passing. The last time I saw her was in February when I visited for lunch. I was going through my own health issues and she was smiling and friendly and it brought peace to my experience even though I assumed she was going through some form of treatment. Yet, she still was her pleasant and generous self. May you find peace in her peace.

Matthew is a friend of our son, August at school. He is such a sweet, caring boy- no doubt with great guidance from his mother. We are so very sorry for your loss.
