This is an appeal for financial help to assist with the medical expenses and care of Bobby Padgett, brother of Pastor John Padgett, Enterprise, Alabama. Bobby suffered a massive brain hemorrhage (stroke) on October 12, 2015. He was unresponsive for 2 weeks in CCU, then moved to Acute Care for another 3-4 weeks until he was stable and somewhat alert. He was then sent to Rehab in Jacksonville, Florida supposedly until the end of January but the insurance company decided to cut-off funding for rehab and he was sent home prematurely on January 5th. His home had to have many alterations to accommodate his care. Bobby's son, Caleb, quit his job in Texas and moved back to take care of his father 24/7. Bobby has been a faithful brother at New Life Pentecostal Church, Enterprise, Alabama, loyal to his pastor, musician and a hard worker. New Life has stepped up to help share the burden of this situation. Currently, Bobby has paralysis on the left side, is still experiencing swelling in the brain which prevents them from replacing the bone in his head; hence the helmet.
Many expenses that are not covered by insurance (of which most coverage has run out) has taxed the financial resources of the family to the limit. Efforts are being made to get assistance through various government agencies but has proven to be an arduous and tedious task. We are trusting that friends and family of the Padgett family will help relieve some of the pressure and that this fund will serve as a bridge until relief can be found through other means.
