Pac-a-macs for the Jungle

To buy waterproof jackets for refugees in the jungle, Calais.

I can't begin to understand or comprehend the stories of those running for their lives but I can try and make a difference to their lives as they are now. We can all make a difference, however small.

I plan to travel at the end of this month, donations permitting. I'll also be taking donations collected locally, of items listed as needed right now.

The money raised will be used to buy as many waterproof jackets as I can. At £12 each I should be able to purchase at least 30. I have a small car but I will be packing it full with coats along with other requested donations received. My transport/accommodation will be personally funded.

I wont be distributing the items personally so please don't expect to see proof of whom the jackets have gone to. There is a fantastic group, in Calais, already distributing in an organised and productive way and they don't need their job made any harder by some lone woman chucking pac-a-macs, into a crowd, from the boot of her car. However please be assured that these items will go directly to those that need them most.
