Campaign Story
My Mom (Chantal Mackley) was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) 6 years ago. It is a chronic lung disorder which causes thickening and scarring of the tissue in the lungs. It has now progressed into a life threatening complication called Chronic respiratory failure. It leads to dangerously low levels of oxygen in her blood. Her saturation levels sometimes drop to 56 so2, making it difficult to do everyday tasks, talk extreme fatigue and confusion from lack of oxygen.
As part of her treatment she needs a portable oxygen machine, as she now needs oxygen 24/7, physio and then ultimately a lung transplant. Please, I am asking for funds to help buy the machine for her.
