My Name is Jessica Wright. I am a young woman with a huge dream that will hopefully come true. I have worked as a barber the last 13 years and it has been a huge blessing in my life. Not only have I made friends with customers, but I consider the men in the shop that I work with my family. The shop I work in has been opened since 1970..and the man that owns it has been there since the beginning. He is like my second father and I owe him so much. I am the only woman barber in there, but there is not one day that I felt uncomfortable because they always treated me with dignity and respect, and I would not have it any other way.
I became ill a few years back with rheumatoid arthritis..so barbering full time became impossible, but the men I work with didn't care...they wanted me there anyway, when I could work. Because of their support and love for me and I for them I am fighting to stay longer at the shop and so far I am doing amazingly well. I had of dream of owning this old-fashion shop at one time..and I now have the opportunity to own it and keep it going after all of these years. My boss wants me to buy the business for 15,000. He wants me to be his boss now until he retires. I am so excited, but the only thing keeping me from buying it right now is the money...
Please help me start living my dream of owning this barbershop and keeping it going after all of these years. It is a precious place full of love and family! I think being able to run this business and work when I can will not only help with forgeting I even have an illness, but it will keep an old barbershop alive!
Sincerely, Jessica Wright
