Campaign Story
Please help my guardian fighting cancer get a chance to work abroad!
Evelyn, a loyal Filipina guardian who took care of me as a young boy for over 10 years, has been fighting ovarian cancer as far as 2012. Although my father financed a surgery she needed, her post-surgery chemotherapy pills has been draining her finances at a worrying rate.
Although she has found work abroad, her chemotherapy is quickly eating up savings meant for her visa and plane ticket; I myself sent about P35,000 total for her sake, which she spent on employment training and chemotherapy.
Based on my knowledge of her character, I am confident that she did not misuse her finances. If she wished to bleed my father and I blind, she would've done so years ago.
Not only is she unable to find employment in the Philippines due to her old age, neither her my family are capable of financially sustaining her medical needs. She has tried applying for outside and government aid, only to be turned down each time.
Please help my guardian to work abroad to rebuild her life, and me to repay her decade-long dedication of raising me from a boy to a young man.
I will be thankful for any help that can be provided for her, from funds for the plane ticket and visa, to even referrals for long-term employment opportunities.
Should there be any relevant questions, I will gladly entertain them.
Thank you for reading, and have a wonderful day ahead.
