Overseas Summer Program

My name is Aliah. I’m currently a music diploma student in Lasalle and I am very passionate in music. To further pursue my passion, I have come across a golden opportunity to participate in a summer program in one of the top music universities in the US, Berklee College of Music. Through this programme, I will be able to learn various skills that I would not have the chance to, here in Singapore, especially by exposing myself to musicians from different countries.

However, the cost of the program is quite expensive. Despite being selected for a scholarship, it only covers $1000, which is a very small fraction of the entire cost. Furthermore, I do not come from a very privileged family. My parents have recently given up their shop (family business) since they could not afford the rent anymore and are heavily reliant on selling things online and regular old customers. My parents are 100% supportive of my passion, however they can only support me as much as they can afford. Having to throw away this opportunity, especially after getting selected for the scholarship would be very unfortunate.

It would mean so much to me to have all the support I can get. This may only be a summer program, but it is a huge milestone for me if I could fulfil this opportunity. I would be incredibly thankful to receive a donation :)
