OUTSTANDING FEES

My name is Nkulani. I was studying Bachelor of Science at the University of Witwatersrand and with intentions to switch to Bachelor of Economic Science third year at the same institution. I chose this university as it is well-recognized and is one of the best universities in South Africa. I am a very responsible, dedicated, and motivated individual who can easily adapt to different environments to make the most of the opportunities that lie before me. However, one problem still remains I am unable to pay for my outstanding fees without worrying about where my next plate of food will come from.

I come from a family of four with my mother unemployed and my father being the sole-bearer in the household. I have an older sister who is currently completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at the University of the Witwatersrand. During the beginning of her studies, she did not receive any funding for her studies, my father had to make a plan and thus he is still paying off the loan that he took for her tuition fees. Our household circumstances are already critical and adding the burden of my university fees will make the dire situation that much worse.

I am in need of the funding mainly because my bursary does not cover the opening balance(outstanding fees) and my parent cannot afford to pay, since they paid for 50 percent of my outstanding fees last year in 2020 for me to be able to register. I tried applying for other bursaries that take care of outstanding fees but none of them replied and I also tried asking for donations on platforms such as Feenix which is crowdfunding for students, but I was not successful.

I have attached showing an amount that I owe to the university and the university account number that the money should be sent to. I would appreciate the assistance so I can be able to study without worrying about my financial burden and progress with my education, ass I am fully aware that education is the key to success.
