Help me treat the children that keep our towns filled with life.
A scary thought hit me when I was walking to the store last summer.. our environment is slowly degrading. And I'm not even talking about smog, polution and the ever expanding concrete jungle. Just the simple fact that the joy is dissapearing from our streets. The laughter, the screems, the games that where played for hundreds of years in the warming glow of the sun seem nothing more than a fleeding memory. The children of today seem daunted by the "task" that playing outside has become.
I would like to change that by providing that what has drawn people outside their houses for the last decades. ICE CREAM !! And not just any, but (in my opinion) the holy grail of refreshment.. SHAVE ICE !! As a kid growing up in the Caribbean shave ice drew a crowd second only to the smell of bbq. As everybody lingered it was always a recipe for new memories.
With the money I will buy a ice shaver and a cargo bicycle to roam the streets and refresh those that still play outside for free, and draw those who prefer video games out in to the sunshine. As the community is gathered in underneath the blue sky, MEMORIES WILL BE MADE.
