Out of Hiding

I am a violent crime survivor. In 2010, I survived two attempts to take my life, by a man who once made me believe he loved me. He was arrested, tried, and convicted...on "lesser included charges". The upshot was, he did far less time than anticipated. He was released before I could get situated. I had to walk away from my entire life- job, home, friends, and go into hiding when he contacted me shortly after his release.

I am now ready to come back to the mainstream. Self-employment barely sustained me, and the little I managed to squirrel away to fund my return to a normal life, e.g. rent and deposit, deposits for utilities (I walked away from EVERYTHING cold) and incidental expenses, was STOLEN from me just yesterday. I am only able to be where I am staying right now until the end of this month and I am BROKE.

I need help...just enough to get into a place and cover stuff, LIFE, plus replace my welding hood and steel-toe boots so I can accept one of the many pipe welding positions I have been offered.

I am currently at an apartment that I sub-leased for the month from a couple who had this last month remaining on their lease, but they had to move to Brazil immediately. I found them through their Craigslist ad. Anyway, there is no chance of me staying here past this month's end. Me, my cat, Chloe, and my rats, Edith and Ruby, are gonna be out on the street, along with my belongings. If not for the thief who took every last penny I had, I would have made it...I would be able to get into stable housing, and go back to work full-time. I still could, if I can just have a little bit of help from my fellow human beings. With just a little help, I can come out of hiding.
