Our Wedding in COVID times

Hi everyone,

in the middle of the first world wide pandemic since the spanish flu, I have decided to marry my Girlfriend of 10 years. That's what you get for waiting so long I guess.

The situation caused a lot of personal and financial trouble for us for over a year now. First, my girlfriend couldn't find a job because no one would hire in the first lockdown, after that I got to do short-time work for about half a year causing a big loss in income. Long story short, we lost around 80% of our savings in this time.

I know there are people in the world who are significantly worse off because of the pandemic. And frankly, I don't expect much from this campaign. But you got to try I guess.

We are not planning a big wedding, just a small ceremony, just for us in a place that is meaningful to us and with which we associate a beautiful time and past.

But any plan, no matter how small, requires budget that we can't afford at this time. With our remaining savings we bought the wedding clothes and rings. The small remaining amount that is now open for our dream ceremony is the goal of this campaign.

You decide if it will be just a small civil wedding or the ceremony we want to have and remember fondly.

There are certainly people who need the money more, and I hope that everyone will assess for themselves whether their money is really invested wisely with us. I will be grateful to every donor, even if I can only express my gratitude in words.
