Campaign Story
My name is Lethabo and I’m engaged to William.
In the African tradition, the man has to pay a lobola (dowry or bride price) to the wife’s family before she can be given away to the man’s family. At this present moment we can’t get married as he still has to pay $3500 dowry then only after that can we get married. My fiancé was unemployed for 2 years but now has an entry level job ( for the past year) hence we are still struggling to come up with the money.
