Campaign Story
We were contacted from the State police barracks, by the finder of a dog suspected to be hit by a car. It was reported that she found him alone, along Pumping Station Road in Juniata County PA. We immediately met the finder and transported the very large puppy, that vets originally believed to be an approximately 7 month old lab mix (due to his size), to Metzger Animal Hospital, in State College PA. Initial xrays showed no signs of fractures, however we knew from the beginning there was something very wrong. It seemed that he had absolutely no feeling in his tail and his back legs were not moving. He would however, react to extreme pressure between his toes on both rear legs. Dr Rider at Metzger Animal Hospital took over Wyatt's case on Monday morning. A CT scan was performed to get to the bottom of why he would not move his back legs. Our worst fears are now a reality.
