Our little fighter

Good day everyone I am raising fund for my baby sister,by the way I am Homer Dale my sister was first diagnosed with congenital hydrocephalus secondary to arachnoid cyst.She underwent into her first surgery s/p excision last March 2019,after 14 days we was discharged and went home with the hope that she will recover easily but she was re-admitted April 11,2019 because of fever episode and increase head circumference on the surgery site thats why she underwent again for her 2nd surgery for subsequent need for revisions of her VPS.Then again she was apparently well since last discharged April 26,2019,until 2 days past she got fever episode again and we noticed leak on post op site that prompted readmission,on that day of her readmission April 29,2019 she underwent to emergency OR her 3rd surgery for s/p VPS removal because of severe symptoms of infection.She took antibiotics for the said infection for 4 weeks while completing the medicine/antibiotics her surgeon put EVD (external bag for the drain of fluid from her head).Then lab tests conducted and got infection free thats why her 4th surgery was made June 2,2019 for s/p VPS reinsertion and her 5th surgery June 7,2019 for s/p dural patch.Few weeks past observing her condition and my parents was advised for posible discharge we notice possible wound dehiscence of suture site.Difficulty of breathing noted characterized as fast and noisy.This gradually worsened and later became associated with fever and generalized stiffening.Acute respiratory failure secondary to hospital acquired pneumonia was considered and she was intubated and transferred to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on July 21,2019.During her course at the PICU,there was noted difficulty weaning off mechanical ventillator despite completion of antibiotics.Dysautonomia was also considered and referral back to Neurology was facilitated.
A multidisciplinary and family conference was held August 7,2019,where our parents and all the services involved with my sister’s care agreed with plans for Gastrostomy and Tracheostomy for my sister.Currently my sister is also being treated for re current febrile episodes with positive blood and urine culture.
I know in this way I can help my parents specially my sister to ask help from all over the world for her huge hospital bills,proper management treatment that causes also big amount of money and medicines for her condition...She is in Philippine Children’s Medical Center
I know and I saw that my baby sister is a fighter.I saw the struggles of my parents fighting also for this unbelievable situation of our family right now.I am asking all of you for help for OUR LITTLE WARRIOR
