Our First Home

Hi Everybody,

If you are reading this you are a looking to help people, and I applaud you for that. My goal is to be able to build my fiancé and daughter their first home. We have lived with my parents in their trailer in a trailer park, and even though it is a ok park to reside in I do not feel comfortable having my precious baby girl grow up in such a neighborhood. You may be wondering how are we going to get a house for $50,000. My answer to that question is that I am going to build it from scratch. I have already used all of our money to purchase land, we have bought .88 acres of forest that I have been clearing into a building site. With this sites location there are exceptions to the building code, so as long as I do all the labor myself (including family members pitching in) I can build a home up to 1500 square feet without needing engineered drawings. You may wonder where the money will be used, it will be used to buy everything from the foundation, or the septic, to the well or lumber and other building materials. I hate the fact that I have been unable to afford this myself and am ashamed that I am asking for something so personal when entire nations are in financial disarray. I do work, and I have obtained my associate's degree and continue to work toward a bachelor's degree. Even with my education I am finding it very hard to get well paying employment. Since I have not been able to make enough money working my hourly job I have started a small roofing company. It is not yet profitable, but I hope things will soon turn around so I can get a new vehicle, and then hopefully make more money. I cannot believe I am doing this but if you have it in your heart and have EXTRA money I would be ashamed but happy to receive your donation. If everything works out I will pay it forward, I would like to have a successful roofing business that is socially and environmentally conscious. I want to be able to afford to donate new roofs to those in need especially the elderly, so many elderly are on fixed incomes and cannot afford the large expense of replacing their damaged roofs. I hope that one day either through your donations or through my hard work I will be able to make a difference in at least one persons life, but first I need to help my daughter grow up in a caring loving SAFE environment, not a trailer park rattled with criminals and addicts. (I am in no way making fun of anyone in a park, I grew up in this same park)
