Our fight against Breast Cancer

Hello everyone! I hope you and your family are doing well and are safe during this time.

My family and I are writing this letter to organize a fundraiser for my mother, Luz Mamayson, a 47-year-old caring mom who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3B Breast Cancer. This lump was found in her back in 2019 after my mom and I had an annual check-up. Initially, it was not diagnosed as cancer, and the lump was too small. Fast forward to the last month of July, my mother noticed that the lump continued to develop and occasionally ached to the point that it could not be ignored.

My dad went with my mom to the doctor for a checkup, and the doctor ordered several tests (including a mammogram, biopsy, ultrasound, and others) to determine the type of tumor. The doctor stated that this tumor could not be identified thoroughly after the initial findings and had my mom redo all the tests. After waiting again for the findings, it turned out that the tumor had grown to Stage 3B Breast Cancer. Our family could never have imagined that this would happen, and we are devastated to have received this news. We may not be ready emotionally, physically, and financially for this painful news, but we know that God has great plans for our family.

Our beloved mother is a very positive person. The strength she carries through life and the optimism she holds in her heart is something we should strive for every day. Ever since we were born, my mother has not taken any jobs, and she has been focused on being a housewife and a very hands-on mother to us.

My mother will have to undergo an operation, and we are also expecting that therapy will be necessary after it. We are setting up a fundraiser to raise funds to relieve some of the burdens of medical bills, with 100% of the proceeds going to my mom's medical treatment. We hope that with your help, 100% of my mom's energy will be focused on getting her body, mind, and spirit through this treatment without the added stress of the financial burden.
