Our Father Is Our Hero

Our loving father who is young at 57 years olf was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. It was too late when we found out since the tumor is small to be detected.

Never we imagined that the water in his lungs was caused by cancer. Doctors initally diagnosed him having tuberculosis but after a 5-hour surgery (to remove solidified water) and several tests, final diagnosis is my father has Stage 4 Lung Cancer.

Doctors gave him 2 years to live if he will be able to fulfill oral chemotherapy. Standard chemotherapy is also an option but it will only give my father 5 months.

Aside from acceptance, we want his life to be a little bit longer. He is there every time we needed him. He is our mentor, disciplinarian, our hero, our father. We look forward to more family occasions with him, more laughter, more fun times. We won't give up on him and we will do everything to extend his life.

However, oral chemotherapy is very expensive and only select hospitals offer it. Cost is Php 90,000 to Php 120,000 every month for 3 months to fulfill this complicated procedure.

Any amount will be of great help for us and most especially to our father.
