Our Brave Mamang Needs Your Help

My Mama, Filomena Ablazo had difficulty in breathing last Tuesday 16th July. She managed to go on the clinic to have a check up and got instructed by the attending doctor to go to the nearest hospital. She got confined 18th July at Providence Hospital.

The doctor found out that there is "water in her lungs", so they needed to perform the Thoracentesis procedure where a needle had to be inserted into the pleural space between the lungs and the chest wall. This procedure is done to remove excess fluid, known as a pleural effusion, from the pleural space to help breathe easier. This procedure costs PHP 15,000. My Mama, same as me and through our genes, got nervous easily. So the doctor had to stop the procedure as she find it very difficult to breathe, around 50% of the water remained. The 2nd procedure was done yesterday and had her feeling tired and exhausted. As per my brother she slept well after that. Today July 21, The doctor informed us that they needed to perform a CT Scan after a week and we are hoping for a good result.

Medication and Hospitalization for this type of illness is a challenge for us as we are from an average earning family. The hospital bill is overwhelming us but we wanted our mother to recover well more than anything else, so we humbly asks your kind soul for any help.
