I am JB Bolanos, 36 years old, sole breadwinner of our small family, and this is our story.

They say lightning does not hit the same place twice. In our case, we are an exemption. Last May 21, 2018, exactly 2 months after my Mommy, Lina Bolanos, passed away of lung cancer on March 21, 2018, and almost a year after her diagnosis, we received the news that this time my Daddy, Jun Bolanos, has pancreatic caner. Receiving this news is like a dagger pierced already through your heart but had to be pulled out to be stabbed in another portion of your heart.

My Daddy is determined to fight for me. He wants to keep his promise that he will not leave me soon, as he has seen me cry several times and asked him not to leave me. Crying has been a staple already for me since my Mom passed on, but now, I do not know for whom my tears are, if these are for Mommy, Daddy, or even myself.

While I am just starting to recover emotionally, spiritually, and financially from the disease that drained us, here we are again in another battle. Despite the poor prognosis on pancreatic cancer, we are determined to fight. I want to extend his life so we can build more memories, just like what we did with Mommy. God knows how I love my parents, and I would do everything for them, including throwing away my pride, for the second time, to ask for support from all my friends and people I do not know.

Given his age, we have chosen to to undergo integrative treatment instead of conventional medicine. However, his treatment plan still comes with a heavy price tag. The monthly average cost of Daddy's treatment is Php150,000. This is a challenge for me considering I am still paying off my debts for my mom's cancer treatment amounting to an average of Php90,000/month in the next 1.5 years. I am working hard and earning well, but not enough to cover for everything.

Once again, I am knocking on your generous hearts for any amount you can contribute to our KICK CANCER FUND. You may deposit your support to the following account:

To those who have leads to people and groups who might need my expertise in integrated marketing communication, we would appreciate if you can refer my small team so we expand our client base.

To our prayer warriors, please help me storm heaven so He can listen to us this time. Help us whisper to Him our deepest desires. Balato nya na si Daddy sa akin, please. Please help me not bury my Daddy this year or anytime sooner. I can't. He is the only one I got now.

Please help me extend my Dad's life while we build more memories with him. Help me celebrate Father's Day with him, Christmas, and New Year. Help me celebrate his 85th birthday next year, and other special occasions. Cancer really sucks, and we are hoping to win this time. God bless.
