In Senegal the expression Oubil Sey Beutt, meaning Open Your Eyes implores people to wake up to the often harsh reality of their lives..
The project being undertaken is spearheaded by myself and a few friends. Having been "inspired" by the horrible living conditions of one Dakar family we are now trying to do something to change their lives. This is a family of six women surviving without the help of men, (who often provide for the family in Senegalese culture) and living in inhumane living conditions.
Our aim is to rebuild their home, to construct a hen house as well as a vegetable garden and to grant them free health care.
Our goal is to create a self sufficient family whose children have access to a proper education and whose elderly are granted the right medical attention.
Our wish is for you to help us achieve our mission by donating any sum of money which can go towards construction materials and any other fees that may arrise.
