This kitten spent 5 days and nights crying. We looked for him several times and asked the closest neighbours but couldn't find him earlier. No sign of his mother.
He was found 10 hours ago, dehydrated, infested with fleas and very hungry. So small, yet he was screaming so loud, it was heartbreaking. He must be dewormed which we can do at home, but we also suspect he has Coccidia.
Able to eat on his own without a syringe. For now, we'll take care of his food (kitten formula and wet food etc.), donations will be needed later on next week, to cover vet, vaccines and other expenses to get him healthy and ready before looking for a family that would adopt him, or place him in a shelter/association in the area along with a donation to help them take care of him.
Nothing is decided for now, but options are limited because we already have two rescue cats and we move frequently between farm and city, so a third cat would mean more adjusting and stress for the cats and for us, and more expenses, and we wouldn't want to give any of he cats less than what he deserves .
Spay/Neuter is not a common thing in Morocco, kittens are often abandoned by cat owners because they can't take care of them each time their cat gives birth. And although awareness is growing, the frequency of these acts is still alarming. This kitten was found in the rural area, near Marrakesh.
