Orphan Ministry

One of the greatest joys of my life has been the sponsoring and visiting of needy children in Thailand with my husband and children. Forty girls have been rescued from a life of poverty, possible trafficking, and life without the knowledge of Jesus Christ. They are now living in a loving, Christian environment where they are coming to know Jesus as their Savior, and learning to follow Him, witness for Him, and be bright lights in their community. May, our Thai "daughter" (to the right of Julia) has received Christ as her Savior. On our last visit she cried when she gave testimony of God's work in her life and how thankful she is for us and the blessing of living at the Sending Hope International Home. What joy to our hearts!

I am starting a fundraising campaign, by faith, for more young girls to be rescued in Thailand, Cambodia and other parts of the world. This campaign will rescue five girls, give them a Christian home to be raised in, with caregivers that love them, for 10 years! It will also allow for five people to travel to visit them, and to stay for a few weeks every other year to help with camp, english instruction and outreach ministry. What will this cost? I was astounded by the low number! Only 250,000 dollars! Surely we can do this for five little girls! Who knows, maybe we can help more!

This will be an ongoing campaign, please pray with me that God would open up this door of opportunity to follow Him to care for orphans and widows. Some of these children have a parent or grandparent that can't care for them, in this way we are also blessing these children's families. They know they are happy, healthy, and receiving education that they couldn't give them. My prayer is that these children will return to their families and villages and share Jesus with them!

When I have raised support to sponsor one child for 10 years, I will post her picture and keep everyone updated on her life! What joy to partner with you! If at some point in the future you would like to go visit these young girls, and help with a missions trip, let me know!! I hope to plan a trip in October 2016!! This trip will include Japan, Thailand, and Cambodia!! God is good to allow us to follow Him! What joy to see the light of Christ in the eyes of these little faces!! Our lives have been forever changed, and yours will be as well!

Sponsoring a girl through Sending Hope International, our ministry organization that we partner with, (A 501- non-profit) requires about 280.00 a month per child. If I had 4 sponsors providing 70.00 a month, or 8 sponsors providing 35.00 a month, we could commit to provide for one girl until she reaches adulthood! Times 5, I could reach my goal. (20 to 40 people committing with me for these children)

As far as the missions trips, it costs about 3000.00 per person, especially with the multiple legs of the trip and time involved. We have funded three of these trips ourselves, but that has now become a financial burden and I would like to ask for help. My first funding campaign will be for the October 2016 trip. It will be three years from our last missions trip! My goal is for five of us to go for three weeks with ministry in Japan, Cambodia, and Thailand!
