My name is Victoria. I am a student from Boston University. While I was taking classes at 8:00AM, I found the majority of my classmates who take the same class as me don’t have enough time for breakfast. Especially during winter season, it’s really hard for us to get up so early. I conducted a survey around the campus, and among the students who took earlier classes, 89% of them skip the breakfast, so I think it’s a good opportunity for me to have a restaurant providing breakfast and deliver service to them. Moreover, people usually feel cold for waiting buses outside to go somewhere else for variety of food. The menu we provide will change every month, people will be able to walk and wait for less time for different kinds of food. Besides, my restaurant will open in Cambridge area where people could reach easily. The name of my restaurant would be origin, it means the original taste of food and the energy we need for a whole day is from food. After making my decision to open a restaurant focusing on breakfast, I devoted most of my time in cooking with local food supply and did several experiments for having different kinds of food in different times during the last three months. My restaurant will also change the menu based on seasons. During summer, people would prefer staying inside to get rid of hot weather, Origin will provide you cold food/drink that could help you get rid of those hot feelings and let you enjoy the summer. We have done a sufficient research regarding the deliverying system, the first model we would like to adapt would be a point to point model, we are going to get a data base regarding the earlier classes in the 10 universities including Harvard University, MIT, BU, BC…….., and we will select different locations for delivering the breakfast for each earlier class in each school, the delivering to the class will attract more customes among the students as well as reducing the effort for them to get the food. We would also do a semester menu plan for the students. so they don’t need to worry about the payment every morning. I would like to raise $40,000 , I would able to get my restaurant space and open it within a month. I would use this fund for leasing space and buy required equipments and stfs for operating the restaurant and give the equal amount of food back for you who donate money for me once I open the restaurant.
