Dear ladies and gentlemen: We are the staff of the Myanmar Democracy Foundation and are entrusted by the organization to send you this letter of help.
The military launched a coup on February 1st and detained our voting leader. We were forced to take to the streets to protest and condemn. However, they were suppressed and killed by the military. 54 people were killed and hundreds of innocent people were injured. The military controls important systems such as hospitals and banks. Our financial system is paralyzed, the military has frozen most of our accounts, and we cannot get back our own funds. These injured people need to spend a lot of money every day to pay for treatment.
The Burmese people will always remember this kindness.
